Forthcoming: Videos for July 1, 2025 and October 2025 Art Shows
Art Show: Saturday, August 28, 2021
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, I had my first Art Show where I displayed original paintings in acrylic on stretched canvas and limited edition prints. I had a terrific time visiting with guests, many of whom purchased paintings and prints. I am excited to say that I got several commissions too.
Awards
The Circle Foundation for the Arts “Art Star Award”
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the kind and generous support that I have received since 2021. It is that amazing support that has encouraged me to forge ahead with my art journey.
I am excited to share that in January, I entered an international competition, “CFA Artist of the Year”, held by the Circle Foundation for the Arts based in Switzerland. I am excited to share that they have awarded me an Art Star Award for my submitted art, “Rainbow Rhapsody”. My art will be presented in Art Stars, a new and dedicated digital magazine which will come out in late March. It will be published in collaboration with World Wide Art and be posted on their website.
Testimonials
Testimonial from Anita Richard
When I first saw Patricia’s painting “Musical Harmony”, I smiled and had the feeling as though weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was so bright and flirtatious, yet I also felt a peaceful warmth, as I took it in. It was just what I needed after the craziness of the past year with the COVID lockdowns and all that entailed.
I loved the colours and the feel of fantasy it exuded but I was really drawn in by the musical theme, including the technicality of the notes and musical symbols, which were creatively melded with the instruments that would make them come alive.
Once I got it home, I was intrigued by the texture of the paint and the nuance of how it all flowed – the notes, the treble and bass clefs becoming the keyboard, then connecting with other instruments, blending into each other and the background. Then I noticed the sheets of music that the entire piece was painted on top of – Aida by Giuseppe Verdi! Amazingly creative! It is one of the things that I always point out when people admire it.
I love how unique it is – how it obviously came from Patricia’s soul and when my friends ask about it, I tell them how I fell in love with it at Patricia’s Art Show, how it is a reflection of her beautiful spirit and especially how it reminds me of her beautiful daughter Angela.
